This photo project is an assignment for Media and Visual Arts course in Koç University, İstanbul.

I begin this project without a motivation. I was in an emotional void and did not know what to do, where to take photos. I always feel that, but I ran away from that project the most. However I like this feeling at the end of all my project “I accomplish this work!”. Content came next. We found an interesting place where is always in front of us, but we cannot see it because of the fear of discovering but this project helped me to push my limits in photography, again. At the end, context came which I put my story on the line and surprised by the similarity with my family relationships and my assimilation in it. I do not know whether this is a good thing or a bad thing, but I feel like I should find a balance at the end.

Technical preferences: I used my own camera with my set lens, but I change lenses. I used 50mm, too. I choose on hand shooting most of the time but some of them required tripod and timer. I generally like to shoot people and I use models. This time I add one person to my friends with the potential of posing the feelings that I want to shot. I begin with eliminating out of 500 photos, 2 or 3 times I eliminate again, and I write a story in the captions after I edited the photos. I get the prints of the chosen ones and I try to complete a puzzle while arranging them into the final look. I eliminate some photos again and I printed 37 photos on to the matte photo paper. When I look it at the end, it was beautiful.
